El Agave - St. Peter

I'm from Arizona, and I'm picky, but I can say that El Agave is really good. Other places I've tried in MN have tasted like they're serving Mexican food in Minnesota. I ordered the El Dorado, which is a chicken quesadilla, a chicken chimichanga, and a chicken flauta all together. They didn't cook the Chimichanga as crispy as I would have liked, but they remade it without giving me a hard time about it and it was delicious. The chicken was marinated in flavorful juices not so much to make things soggy, but enough to avoid being dry. The chips and salsa are some of the best I've had. The salsa isn't hot, just flavorful. The chips are thicker like I prefer, and they were served warm and fresh. I don't take the time to review many places, but every time I come to MN, I'm going to try to stop here.

Food is OK but they are not very accommodating on any substitutions.

My mom ordered something that she had gotten somewhere else it wasn't too spicy, however El Agave's was extremely spicy!! So much so that she couldn't eat it!! Well several guests in our party recommended that she order something else. But she didn't want to be a bother. So she just had a little bit of mine (her daughter's) some of her granddaughter's too. Then her son, my brother, called the waiter over convinced her to order her own dish! The waiter was super nice helpful!! He told my mom that he could make her the same dish without the spicy red hot sauce. She ended up loving the dish!!! Thanks!! You're service went above beyond!! Parking: They had a nice selection of handicap parking. It was a nice free, outdoor parking area. It was not a very kid friendly parking lot, as in you need to keep a close eye on them hold their hands. Kid-friendliness: Their dining room was very kid- friendly. My great-niece was playing on the table top by herself nobody was bothered by it at all. In fact the staff was very friendly pleasant to her. Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of room for maneuvering with a wheelchair as well.

Prices were good, service was even better, and the food was incredible. If I had to guess, our food was served in less than 15 minutes from the time we sat at our table.

El Gave us our favorite place in St Peter to go for authentic Mexican food. Service is always amazing!! Food is always delicious and fast!! We all love it!!
