2nd Second - St. Petersburg

The service was pleasant, and the food was decent. The pancakes were quite good, but everything else was just average. It wasn’t too pricey, so I might consider returning for a quick meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

Visited on 4/2022 . Friendly service, clean restrooms, tables and bar sitting available. Busy but not backed up, food and drinks were good. They were able to accommodate a large party and we did not feel rushed or forgotten. The **** Mary flight wasunexpectedly yummy!

I ordered the Croissandwich with ham, but when I opened it, I found that two small slices of ham barely covered the bottom of the croissant. The sandwich was also filled with egg, cheddar cheese, and tomato, but it lacked any unique twist. I have to say, the home fries were much better. Our server was very friendly, but she seemed a bit overwhelmed with new customers, which is understandable. However, I think management could benefit from training the staff to work together more effectively and assist each other when needed. I noticed three or four other employees just walking around. We had to flag down our server to ask for the check, and no one took our plates away. As we were leaving, two employees were still engaged in their personal conversation and didn’t even acknowledge us with a thank you.

While strolling through downtown St. Petersburg, I happily stumbled upon 2nd and Second. They offer a concise breakfast menu, and flipping the menu reveals a selection of sandwiches, starters, and burgers. The food was excellent—unpretentious and hearty, exactly what a hungry person craves. It was a bit noisy, but the layout provided some privacy. Definitely worth a visit! The weather was ideal for sitting outdoors. Although they were busy, the food came out quickly and was spot on.

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The portion sizes were generous, and the food was served hot and fresh. Our server was incredibly friendly. The house fries were a standout dish! We tried the croissant sandwich and the steak and egg breakfast burrito. I wasn't a huge fan of the burrito, but my partner really enjoyed it. The BBQ sauce served on the side was surprisingly good. I recommend freezing the croissant sandwich for a bit to avoid it getting too runny. The croissant itself is fresh and soft, which can make the filling soggy quite quickly. The large coffee was great, and the cranberry juice was even better. We will definitely be back!
