I can't say enough good things about this place. we were treated with free roasted okra, which was light and crispy. the service was from this world. valerie (with a capital w was friendly, attentive and fun to chat with. man is the gm and he made sure we had a great time and enjoyed our visit. my man had the jambalaya, and I had the cancer creole. both were fantastic! the cancer fritters we ordered as an additional appetizer were my favorites. they were so delicious and came with an ingenious diving sauce. for dessert we were treated with brotpudding with bourbon sauce, and that was heavenly. this is legit creole cuisine served in a beautiful small restaurant by friendly staff. her dining area inside the courtyard and restaurant interior is beautiful and romantic, and you can not wish better service. please do one please and visit Chief’s!
Eating was absolutely amazing! true creole is hard to find, and that is the actual thing. I will return to this hidden gemstone. amazingly fried okra, mais muffins and salat to begin the meal.
We waited 30 minutes after we sat and never got drunk, so we just left since we never had to submit an order. we have heard really good things and want to try again, but maybe another day. we went on a Thursday and were one of three tables, so maybe the weekday is just not a good time to go.
The service was bad. I asked about chicken drumsticks and they brought me a breast. my waitress was very unchalant and did not seem to care. it was bad. I wouldn't go back. there are so many other places with better service.
Absolutely outstanding! The Spicy Jambalaya, Creole Gumbo, Crawfish Etouffee...all were fantastic! Enjoyed meeting the owner Mr. B... we will be back! (oh, and the spicy jambalaya is SPICY)
