Crafty Squirrel - St. Petersburg

I sat at this restaurant on the night of July 3rd and was looking forward to making it my new go-to spot. After ordering a Corona and 3 Miller Lites, I inquired about my tab. The bartender, Cole, made a mistake and put someone else's drinks on my bill. I asked him to adjust the bill and swiped another card to settle it, but he never charged the new card and instead charged me the full $114.95. I ordered four more drinks and it seems Cole's previous mix-ups with Rumplemintz may have been a factor in this error. They took down my information in hopes of returning my card and when I returned the next day, they said the person with my card would come back the following day. I never received a call and had to go back to the bar to retrieve my card. The issue now was the incorrect charges on my bill. I was willing to pay for the drinks I had but after weeks of no resolution, I returned several times to address the issue. The manager, Dustin, promised to look into it but ultimately said they would not correct the charges as they had already made a decision. I was patient and understanding initially but became frustrated with their lack of action. I wanted to give them a chance to make things right and make sure I paid for what I actually consumed. Unfortunately, I now have to dispute the charges and get a new card as someone else had possession of mine for two days. Overall, it's a cool place with great staff, but I was disappointed in their handling of the situation once they realized their mistake.

My favorite spot to hang out in the city center. I love the outdoor tables. The staff is friendly and attentive. I can never go wrong with the menu. My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes. It is conveniently located in the bustling center and perfect for people-watching.

I went to this restaurant tonight and was told that a Modelo beer would cost $5, but I was actually charged $7. The bartender tried to say she had mentioned it would be $5 or $6, but neither of those is $7. Additionally, they also added sales tax, which I have never experienced in any other bar. When I mentioned this to the bartender, she simply said too bad, and another employee tried to make excuses about prices changing constantly. It is not okay to surprise customers with a $25 hold on their card without permission. I will never be returning to this dishonest establishment. It is unacceptable to treat customers in this manner. I will be warning others to avoid this place at all costs.

Love this place I would give him a 5 stars for the bar. keep it at the bar because you eat suck! loway too much salt on the wings and much too much sauce on the buffalo garnel. they could swim in it. but cool bar.

I stopped in town with my wife for a day trip. We picked the Crafty Squirrel at random.Melissa was our bartender, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the city.She took phenomenal care of us, and also provided us with first hand knowledge of some of the best places to visit while we were in town.She was the best thing to happen to our vacation and I'm grateful we stumbled up to her bar top. Thanks, Melissa!
