Lotus Thai Restaurant - St. Thomas

Good food, sinscere but slow service. Seems geared to take out versus dine in even though it is a gorgeous building.

I would give this five stars for quaintness and food but the service killed itWe walked in first time in area, 3 tables left, said seat yourselves.

We first sampled the fresh summer rolls from Lotus at the Strathroy Farmer's market. So we tried dinner, and weren't disappointed. Each of us had one of the Daily Specials--Pad Thai, and Red Curry. The spring rolls were fresh and crisp, nice veggies and shrimp in the curry with a spicy sauce. Friendly service. We'll go back.

It's a cute little place. One waitress who gets the job done. The food was very good. As someone mentioned earlier , some of the food looked burnt but it wasn't. Tasted fantastic. I do feel it's a little overpriced for a plate of noodles. Not outrageous price just a little high. Food is all freshly made when ordered. We will recommend and go back.

The All-day special is our go-to meal. 3 crispy won tons, 2 crispy spring rolls and choice of main. I usually get the beef Pad Thai. Portions are generous. Others have commented about the service...we enjoy Cindy's gruff exterior and banter. She's got an edge to her, but not everyone is sunshine and roses all the time. She's genuine and honest! Get over it, and enjoy the food.
