Feedback gevenAlthough lunch today was not terrible, it certainly wasn't the usual quality I would expect from Pizza Hut. I don't usually visit the St.Thomas location, but we were in that town today. The place wasn't very busy for the lunch hour??? The pies were dry, as if they had been on the buffet for awhile. The service was really good, friendly and smiling.
The good and the bad about a Pizza chain is you get what you expect. And yes the Pizza and Wings are decadent and perfect for a family and not so great for dieters. That said good pizza and do not be afraid to ask for what my not be included on the menue. Greek Pizza was excellent.
I like Pizza Hut pizza. In past, I have ordered many times from the Ottawa and London franchises with total satisfaction. Since moving to Port Stanley I have to order from the St. Thomas location. I recently thought I would give them another chance after waiting a year. I was let down again, making this the third terrible experiences our of four orders I have placed. A trainee answered the phone and put me on hold three times during the order process. She put me on hold to find someone to help her enter the order in the system. After 10 minutes and three times having to repeat my order, she finally was able to enter it. I had her repeat it for certainty. She had it wrong so she corrected it; or so I thought. My wife and kids picked up the pizza on their way back from London. When she arrived home, I opened the pizza to find the order was wrong. The combination of toppings was incorrect. No big deal. I just picked off the topping and moved them around. Then when we each picked up ou first piece, we noticed that the pizzas had not been cooked on the bottom or inside. When I called to get a new pizza delivered, they told me I had to pick it up. I told the young lady that I was not prepared to do that since my wife and I had just had a glass of wine. Tonight was movie night with the kids. I expected that they would deliver to fix their mistake. They would not. Since I am 15 minutes drive, they would not do that. She told me that she was sorry but the order would have been right if not for so many new staff. That wasn't very comforting so I asked for the manager. She immediately told me that fixing the problem would screw up their other deliveries. I would agree with that if I had put a time expectation on it but we could have waited. We were not going anywhere. She told me I'd get a free order next time. I don't want a free order from that location. Using a small sample number I can still conclude that they have a good chance of getting it wrong.
Most of the time I order pizza from here the staff are quite friendly and accommodating. The service is usually quick (unless you decide to show up during buffet time, it's always busy then). The quality of food is always good. The only issue I've ever had is one time my order of Cinnaparts was not fully cooked. Other than that, every other experience here has been great.
