Kaiserpagode - Stahnsdorf

We have visited this restaurant several times during the past ten years, usually for special occasions. Until now it was very good. Our visit yesterday will probably be our last. Initial service was slow. The staff were all very busy, but just not keeping up with the traffic. Having got our starter, the main course arrived within 2 minutes while we were still eating. One of our meals was cold. A request for a hot version got the meal microwaved, which destroyed the texture of all of the ingredients.

The Kaiser Pagode has been a tremendous success for over 13 years. It's Chinese menu is exceptional and draws people from all over Berlin. I have been a patron since it first opened and always been impressed with the very traditional Chinese courtesy and dedication to provide a memorable dining experience. Lately, it appears the current management has taken its eyes of the goal and service and food quality is slipping. It appears that financial concerns are driving the business model, rather than customer-focus and therefor profit. Too Bad. There was no one to greet entering patrons, the service was surly and the food not of the quality, nor quantity previously offered.

We took advantage of the lunch menu and it was delicious. There were many Asian people eating there which we took as a good sign
