They put my sausage roll in the microwave (uncovered and then served it straight out of the microwave so it was served to me soggy, stale, and carelessly presented. (hint: you don't put crispy puff pastries in the microwave! Basic food science and COMMON SENSE! Not to mention they charged me $5.50 for a pre packaged soft drink also the staff were too busy on their phones to look up and see two tables that needed to be cleaned and have the dishes removed.
I like their muffins ,the milkshakes are too milky but the main thing I hope they change , is that everytime I come here, the tables are ALWAYS messy. they aren't even too busy to clean it. They just don't care and they leave customers plates and everything on the table. Pleaseee clean it . It's not nice to eat somewhere messy. ALSO i couldnt even drink out of the straw they gave me with the frappe because they didnt even blend my drink properly! there was thick ice cubes inside my drink.
Poor service, tastesless coffee and while the muffins look good they were hyper sweet and very doughy.
What can I say, I should have read the previous reviews. Only reason I gave two stars was due to the good cup of coffee. I asked if they did a Seniors discount to be greeted with “what”, after that I gave up. I asked for my muffin to be heated. When it was served to me it was cold. Not worth $9 of any persons hard earned cash for a small coffee and cold muffin. Muffin Break is a franchise and I am sure they need good reviews to get new and repeat customers, sorry to say I will not be recommending or using again. Please franchise owner, before you go out of business, train your staff about discounts and how to use the microwave to heat up the muffins.
Do you hate good customer service? Do you want the absolute poorest experience in town? It’s like our very own Karen’s Diner, right here in Stanhope Gardens (except I am not sure that is Muffin Break’s USP? . This bottom level experience is absolutely second to none in the entire area! Even tho every coffee shop in the area was completely flat out this place was empty! So I am only assuming they rocket out first class caffeinated goodness and then everyone must rush back home to tell their neighbours about the first-class experience they just had!!! So if you’re after zero service, then pop on over to the super unhelpful staff at Muffin Break Stanhope Gardens! If you’re after complete disappointment, this team of happy workers won’t disappoint!!! PS I did don’t get to try the food. I stood around while staff walked past me quite a few times while waiting at their counter. I get you can be busy, but it takes literally no effort to look up and say “hello, give me a moment, I will be with you soon”. PPS they weren’t busy. And if you don’t believe me here are all their customers. Donut King, packed, in background for reference.
