Fat Belly - Stanwood

Hidden gem! Traveling to Charlevoix stopped in. I had Mel's a Brat and husband had Italian Stallion. Mine was good, the bread is buttery on both sandwiches the brat probably wouldn't try again, it was more like a sausage but good. The Italian stallion was bursting with flavor. Chips have a seasoning little too much pepper for me. The deviled egg salad was a mustard potato salad and the coleslaw was fresh and good. Sat outside on picnic tables with dogs, you could take them on the patio too. Plenty of room to walk them too. It's in the same building as a Bp which is great because you can fill up, get drinks and snacks for the road.

This place is so good! Kids had ice cream, my husband had the Cuban and I had the Victor sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. What a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back.

We LOVE Fatbelly sandwiches! The flavor combinations of the various meat and cheeses on the fresh, locally baked bread is delicious! We are partial to the Republican and have had it as a sandwich and as a salad. We also like the Cuban . The potato salad and chips are also noteworthy. Of high note is the excellent service. They are BUSY there, but everyone is smiling and having FUN! The sandwiches are huge! We visit Fatbelly while we are staying at River Ridge campground. Many nights, Fatbelly is able to offer delivery too. (Be sure to tip your driver! We like going there in the afternoon for ice cream. They always have our favorites.

We are headed up to our cabin in the UP and didn't want to stop at a fast food restaurant so I found Fatbelly on google maps and we decided to pop in! Such a cute little spot with really nice staff! They offered to bring our food out to our car in the rain which was so nice. We got the Scooter D's Cuban and The Crown Victoria and they were soooo good. The deviled egg potato salad was *chefs kiss* as well! We will be stopping by on our way back down to try a couple more! Can't wait! Thank you for the great service!

This was a perfect stop on our way back south after a weekend of camping. It's a very convenient location right off of 131. The sandwiches were amazing! Everything tasted very fresh and high quality. It's not easy to find such good food at a gas station stop. This place will be our go to stop whenever we head back north. They also have ice cream that looked great too but we were stuffed from our meals! Next time!
