Carvel - Staten Island

I really love this place! I stopped by to get a sundae, and the staff were incredibly efficient and polite. They also have a wide variety of cakes available. I would definitely recommend it!

We always make a stop here when we're on our way to visit family, especially for birthday cakes. However, this time we were disappointed with both the size of the square cake we purchased for $25.99 and its design. First, the cake appeared to be shorter and seemed like it was missing a layer. The most concerning issue was the blue dye used in the decorations; it was so dark that it stained everyone's fingers, mouths, and hands, and it didn’t wash off easily! Additionally, the design itself wasn't as appealing as we had hoped. I urge you to explore less messy alternative dyes, so customers don't have to deal with this problem.

I visited the restaurant for a treat and wanted to leave a tip for the employee, but I was told that they don't accept tips, so I shouldn't bother. I wonder who manages this place because that doesn't sit well with me.

Don?t waste your time, manager incredibly selfish. Treats both customers and employees terribly. Take the extra couple minutes to go elsewhere, trust me on this one.

I?ve always liked Carvel since I was a kid. Haven?t had it in ages, so it was a treat for me to indulge. My favorite is the soft serve ice cream, and for birthdays who doesn?t love a Fudgie the Whale Cake. Chocolate crunchies are the best! I like this particular store. The ice cream was fresh tasted great. Service was friendly.
