Duffy's - Staten Island

Friendly neighbourhood bar/pub/tavern. good burger.? cold beer? strong drinks.?

The food and drinks were fantastic! My friend and I are definitely planning to come back.

I'm sorry to say that I have to give this place three stars. I was really disappointed with my experience at Duffy's, which has always been one of my favorite spots. I usually look forward to getting the best burger there, and I’ve always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and running into people I know. However, during my latest visit, the place was surprisingly empty, and the burger was unfortunately not up to par—it was the first time I couldn't finish it. The onion rings were also overcooked. I'm hoping this was just an off day for them, and I'd like to give it another chance in a month or so. I just hope it doesn’t become another place that's lost its charm.

Our burgers were cooked to perfection, and the sweet potato fries were fantastic. Everything was served hot. We also tried the honey hot wings, which were delicious. A few beers rounded out our meal perfectly.

I grew up in the area. Pelton Avenue. Duffy 's has been there forever. Finally tried with my wife yesterday, which was Father 's Day. We were looking forward to trying the best burger on the island .The burger did not disappoint. Good fries too... reminded me of the beach boardwalk fries in the summer. Crinkle cut.The greeting, seating and service was a little cold. I think the server was upset about something related to work but eventually he seemed to loosen up. The outdoor seating was a pretty comfortable environment in good weather.We 're foodies, belonging to a larger group and will be back with more of us.
