Fushimi Staten Island

The only issue we encountered was with the service. The waitress was lovely, but she seemed to lack experience.

Apps were very good and service was excellent. Sushi was ok. And drinks were pretty weak on the alcohol.

We ordered the kani salad, edamame, rock shrimp, and a variety of short appetizers, all of which were delicious. However, they placed too many hot and cold appetizers on the table at the same time. We also ordered the American Dream roll, which was fantastic, and we enjoyed a bottle of Hana sake that made the evening even more special.

We enjoyed the Out of Control Roll, Surfing and Rolling, and Spicy Laughs, all of which were fantastic. We started with fried calamari as an appetizer and ended with roasted ice for dessert—it was a wonderful meal overall. The service was excellent as well. We mentioned to our server that one of the martinis wasn’t as strong as we’d like, and he promptly fixed it, which was great!
