Il Pallino - Staten Island

It took almost 90 minutes to get our food. And the restaurant was not crowded.

Had reservation for 7:45pm. We had Bocce bread which was good with our drinks approx. around 8pm. We also ordered our food at the same time. Didn’t get a second drink or checked on until 8:30pm. Gave them benefit of the doubt cause it was Valentines Day so we stuck around. 9:15pm still no food nor checked on with an update. Paid $40 bucks for two beers and two sangrias then left starving and ate at a diner. This is the first time I’ve ever wrote a review. If I’m getting into food arguments on Valentines Day, you can’t blame me for putting it a bad review. Do not mess with a hungry baber....ever. Not a good combo. Might not happen often here but it was a rough experience.

My fiancé and I decided to give this restaurant a try on Valentine’s Day. We sat down immediately and was given our drinks and bread. Our reservation was at 7:30pm. By 7:40 we placed our order. After sitting there for awhile we never received any food. I asked to speak with a manager and within a few minutes. Our appetizer was brought to our table. It took an hour for the appetizer fried calamari . As we looked around at the other 6/7 tables everyone seemed extremely disgruntled. By 9 pm still no entree. We decided to ask for the check. Paid for two drinks and an app and left. Needless to say, I don’t think we will be returning.

Excellent food, from start to finish...attentive staff...traditional Sicilian fare...only open since last October...spread the word...oh, did i mention bocce?...

My four girlfriends and I had a great time last Friday night celebrating two of my friends’ birthdays. The food drinks were delicious! We will definitely come back this summer! Thank you Il Palinno!!
