Island Roti Bakery Shop - Staten Island

My husband is a big fan of this restaurant for their curry goat. The beef is also excellent, but unfortunately, it was sold out when I got there yesterday. It's great that we don't have to go across the bridge to find good curry!

Shorty's Roti is really the best on the whole island I'm a regular there food is just one of a kind i give five stars because no restaurant on the island is messing with them i had went to all the Jamaica restaurant and i don't like none on this island i even went to another roti place on the island and it was nasty. I just wish shortys was open on a every day. cause when I'm in the mood for roti i don't wanna see the gate down it needs to be open longer in open everyday my favorite

They are simply the best! Every time I visit, it takes me straight back to Brooklyn. Although I have a favorite roti shop in Brooklyn, this restaurant in Staten Island is a close second. Their doubles, roti, salt fish bake, and veggie patties are all amazing, and their tamarind sauce is perfect. I wouldn’t consider trying any other place; I just wish they were open right now! I just took a bus from Port Richmond to get their food, and now I’m here with my mouth watering and my hunger increasing. I just want their food at this moment!

I just wish they were open right now! I took the bus from Port Richmond just to get their food, and now I can’t stop craving it. My mouth is watering, and I just want their food immediately!

Oh my goodness! I just moved to the island, and I’ve been really craving doubles, but I didn’t want to have to trek to Queens or Brooklyn. Let me tell you, these doubles were absolutely AMAZING—seriously, the best! I almost went back today for a second day in a row, but I missed them just before they closed, haha. So tomorrow after work, I’m definitely going to get more. I’m so glad I discovered this place! The shrimp, goat, and regular doubles were incredible. Even my 1-year-old loved them!
