Applebee's Neighborhood Grill

Very few vegetarian options. My food was brought to the table one item at a time so part of the meal was cold when the French fries were served. Was charged for five small pieces of extra celery that were dry and pretty much inedible.

Walked in around 8:30pm Saturday night restaurant had a handful of customer’s ,so it was pretty dead. Our waitress seemed like she wasn’t feeling to good so we gave our whole order to her figuring that would help her out. Sat for over 10 mins for our drinks so I was going to ask our waitress when she walked back by and then I see her sitting at the bar talking with the bartender and other customers. I ask the waitress at the table next to us to check to see if she had got our drinks ready and when she was asked this she jumps up, chuckles and said “oh I forgot”, so sitting at the bar taking to everyone was so much more important. I have so many more comments I could make but they are not good. Never going back! Every time we go to Applebee’s in Statesville we are always disappointed. Never ate we walked out she never put our order in.

Arrived (my husband and I) on a Saturday afternoon before 3pm. A very young, very quiet hostess seated us promptly, as the restaurant had only a couple of tables occupied at the time. Our server (waiter) arrived within a few minutes to take our drink order and returned with them promptly. At which time, he stated he would be right back to take our orders. After waiting for at least 10 minutes, he finally came back and took our orders (an appetizer and 2 entrees, both the same, cooked the same). The appetizer was delivered by a runner (not our waiter) and it was great (Classic Combo). Not long after the appetizer, the entrees were delivered (by the same runner and the hostess (who seated us). The entrees were cold. I can only assume they were prepared at the same time as the appetizer, but left to sit in the kitchen while we enjoyed a little of the appetizer before being brought to the table. Not once did ANYONE come back to the table to ask us ANYTHING. The service was below standard, as were the entrees. Paid the bill using the app, flagged the hostess over for a to go box for the remainder of the appetizer and left. This is not an establishment I would revisit.

It's my daughter's 21st birthday and she requested to go to a similar restaurant also in Statesville, I call and reserve a table for 6:30 and even get a confirmation text. When some of our party arrives they know nothing about it, barely acknowledge we're there. My son calls Applebee's and they can seat us now, we drive up the street and WOW what a difference. We were lucky enough to have Zari as our server. She didn't even blink when we went in. She waited on our party of 15 like we were family and friends , our food was exceptional and the drinks were never empty!! Thanks for helping make her 21st birthday memorable and fun!!!

Paula was our server. Tonight was her first night as a server. She was amazing. Food was hot, fast and just as I ordered. Pleasant experience. Will be back very soon.
