Smell That Bread Bakery

What a fantastic spot to visit! We arrived around noon, and although they had run out of a few items we wanted to try, everything we had was delicious. We're already planning to go back in the morning!

This is the BEST bakery I have ever visited. It rivals those found in Europe or New York City. Everything is outstanding! You can grab a fantastic fresh loaf of multigrain or sourdough, and leave with delicious croissants, monkey bread, and a variety of other delightful daily and seasonal treats. Their pastries, like the croissants and kouign amann, are perfectly flaky and almost beyond comprehension.

The biggest letdown, however, was the ham. It tasted like boiled ham that had been frozen, and it was served ice cold—what a travesty! So disappointing. We also tried a maple bacon bourbon roll, but it was inedible. Neither of us could finish it due to its stale taste and lack of flavor. I mention that I am an outlier not just because my experience doesn’t match the positive reviews, but because the place was bustling with diners. Clearly, some people enjoy their food and bread—it just wasn’t for me and my friend. Life is too short and food too pricey to settle for mediocrity. Move along.

The best almond croissant we have ever had, even compared to the ones in Paris. It was the perfect sweet, very soft and most importantly fresh. They only bake a certain amount and once the pastries are gone that's it. The pastries were $6 each but we'll worth it.

I want to love this place. It's really really good. But there are just too many inconsistencies that make me roll my eyes at this place. I always say I'm quitting them but then I keep going back. Today for a party I purchased pastries to share with my girlfriends. Little did I know, the bottoms were completely black. They sold them to me like this,No warning, no comment. They sold this $6.95 monkey bread to me, burnt. I'm done. Last straw.
