Jay's Cafe - Steinbach

I went there with my friend just the other day. The cook got the order wrong and still made us pay for it because there excuse was they have a new cook and we should have spoken up. The waitress didnt care as my friend didnt eat half the food on his plate. I will make sure just like the last person wrote to never recommend this place to anyone!!

Horrible service sent us away and grill was closed before 3pm not impressed. I like the food there but will never go back now due to the bad service and sending us away. I will also be making sure everyone I know will never go back there

Their food is pretty good. Their home made iced tea is fabulous. Their service is excellent...all of the waitresses there are just fantastic!They add fees for EVERYTHING though. Extra charge if you want multigrain toast. Coffee is only included with breakfast during the week. You are charged extra for onions in your hash browns...my husband worked it out once, and almost 30% of our bill was 'add ons' that are only mentioned in very confusing fine print, or not at all. They would do much better to include all these little things into their prices, so that you aren't shocked when your breakfast bill after they've tacked on all those extra fees.Their facilities could also use some updating. It's awful going their for food in the winter because every time the door opens, the entire restaurant is flooded with cold air. They badly need an entrance (and they have the room to build it...perhaps they should save up their 75 cent charges for multigrain toast and have one built!)

My Husband & I snowmobiled here for lunch/breakfast. They are in a great location for snowmobilers as they are just on the outskirts of Steinbach. We were served our meals quickly. The food was great. I had a hamburger & fries while my Husband had eggs. We both really enjoyed our meals. Our only complaint is that they are not open later so we can come here for supper as well! We will be coming here again & again. Keep it up.

The title says it all, perfect eggs, hashbrowns with onions and great coffee. Its got that diner feel. There burgers are really good too.
