Typically only one person behind the counter understands English well enough to take your order.These guys’ food is the exception to the rule of fast, cheap, good pick two at the expensive of the other.Verde salsa is great, Rojo is smoldering hot. My go to BT is the bacon egg cheese and potato on flour.These are the best BTs in the area. They are smaller than willies across bobwire and the TXB parking lot but the cheese is better, the bacon isn’t minced, the quality is higher it’s not so american ized. grandpa’s taco up highway 71 doesn’t compare to Compadres.

This is the second time that we’ve come and waited 20-30 minutes for tacos. Last time I waited 20 minutes and the tacos were decent. Today I waited 30 minutes and finally asked for a refund bc they hadn’t started them yet. There were literally people ahead of and behind me that I watched order and get their orders. My order should have been FOUR tacos. I’ve done my due diligence by coming twice.ETA: it was 8:00 on a Thursday morning.

There was a 15 minute wait on a Saturday morning. There were 9 people in front of me and 25 that came while I was waiting. I thought, These people must know this place is good . THEY DID. Awesome food!!! And cheap!!! Great choice!!!
