I visited the restaurant two weeks ago on a Sunday, and I was surprised to find that there were no staff members present at all. There were no signs indicating that they were closed, and cars in the drive-thru were passing messages to each other about it being shut down. The lights were still on, suggesting they had just locked the doors and left. I understand that things have changed due to COVID, but the dining room doesn’t open until 11:00 AM every day, and the drive-thru line was long, stretching out to the roadway. I ended up waiting at least 25 to 30 minutes in the drive-thru.
I experienced an incredibly long wait time at this location, as the staff seemed more focused on playing around or using their phones. It took nearly an hour to serve just two cars in the drive-thru. This is by far the worst Whataburger I've visited, and I hope that once the new location opens, they hire an entirely new team.
