Al Shoroq - Sterling Heights

I had the worst dining experience ever! A customer became intoxicated and started a fight in the restaurant. There were glasses and salt shakers thrown everywhere, and I truly didn't feel safe. The staff didn't seem to take the situation seriously; they kept dismissing my concerns instead of throwing the person out or calling the police, as I suggested. I definitely wouldn't recommend dining in here!

I had a great experience at Al Shoroq restaurant during an evening out with my two best friends for a band gig. The authentic music paired perfectly with the delicious Iraqi cuisine. We started our meal with a mezze comprised of chopped cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and a salad drizzled with vinegar and olive oil, all enhanced by the chef’s special touch. Then, we enjoyed the kebabs, accompanied by grilled tomatoes, chopped onions, and a flavorful cabbage curry. The restaurant also features a nice bar with a variety of drinks and excellent service. I give them two thumbs up! Don’t miss out on Thursday nights with the live band and free admission!

This restaurant serves the best chicken and red rice in all of Michigan. I highly recommend it!
