Asda Cafe - Stevenage

I only popped in for a coffee with a friend. The coffee was decent, but the service and staff were okay; however, they could have been more friendly.

The staff were absolutely awful. they were very rude and the coffee was flavorless and bland. the tables and chairs were woefully dirty and no one was around to clean them up. would definitely not recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to sit down and have a drink

The coffee with little flavour was cheap, but the service is very poor. Hardly a word was spoken and not a word of apology for spilling my coffee on the tray. The tables were not cleared although the customers had left some time ago. Our table was sticky and there was dropped food on the floor.

I go in this store at Harlow at least once a week and it’s fine and reasonably laid out. I always go in the Cafe to have Coffee and Cake but sometimes the Ladies are too busy to even look at you never lone serve you, I do feel sorry as it seems there are only 2 Ladies and they have to do the cooking and the serving. I think there is a man behind the scenes doing the washing up. Asda shouldn’t put their staff in this position as sometimes they can be quite rude and I think it’s because they are put under pressure.

This is ASDA so don't expect too much. However, this cafe has the potential to do really well if the morning staff understood customer service. Apart from often opening late and simply ignoring the people waiting the rudeness is unbelievable.
