I visited this charming restaurant that offers a variety of vegan cakes, such as raspberry and chocolate slice, raspberry and banana slice, millionaire slice, muffins, and vegan kit cats. They also had oat milk available. The options for main courses seemed limited, with the most notable being beans on toast. I decided to try the chocolate and raspberry slice, which was absolutely delicious! Overall, a great experience. (Updated review as of 2023-08-31)
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful in assisting me with finding the perfect vegan dish. Thank you!
I have visited this cafe multiple times and I always return whenever I am in Stirling. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is tasty! There is also a gift shop, and it is conveniently located near the Wallace Monument, making it easy to explore while you are there. It is also close to the University of Stirling.
We had lunch here yesterday, Saturday, and it seems to be a busy place all day long or at least it was yesterday. It was busy when we got there and also busy when we left. They have a good variety of sandwiches and sweets. Sandwiches are all served with a sal and and their own coleslaw. My husband ordered a Bacon Brie and cranberry sandwich with a cinnamon cream cake (I’m not sure this is the correct name) and he liked it a lot. I ordered a Mozzarella, tomato and pesto sandwich and I loved it too. The side salad was good. The coleslaw was tasty, but too creamy in my opinion. This seems to be a constant around here as it has been the same in other restaurants. You can choose different types of bread as there are choices available. This was good to know and I had a seeded brown bread instead of the white one. It was delicious! The cinnamon and cream cake had a good taste, but it was super sweet! So much that my husband, who loves sweets, couldn’t eat it all. Other than that, food was great! As for the people working there, they are super nice and very willing to help and give you information (in case of food allergies or specific dietary restrictions). The place has an inside and outside area. Dogs are not allowed in the inside area, but they are welcome in the outside one. You don’t need to go to the monument to eat here as this is located at the start of the walk up the monument. Prices are reasonable. It’s a clean and cozy.
