We went tonight as a family my self, partner and 2 kids boy 16 girl 13. Food and service were excellent given that the restaurant was fully booked!! Staff extremely friendly. Service charge was removed by manager due to slow service and he couldn't apologise enough. However we felt this was unfair and asked for the service charge to be added back on. We felt the service was good despite it being so busy. Especially is a Saturday night!! Can't wait to return. Thank you again to your lovely front of house staff and compliments and thanks to the chefs who cooked our meals xx
Really lovely atmosphere, great service and fabulous food! Will definitely be coming back next time I visit Stirling! Thanks for such a great time!
Before visiting Mama Mia, we read the reviews on Trip Adviser. They ranged from one star, citing the rudeness of the manager, to five star, praising the excellence of the food. Both were correct. The manager was exceptionally rude and boorish, especially in the way he mistreats his staff (they must be exceptionally well paid to put up with the abuse he hands out to them in front of customers) but the food was excellent. Somewhat overpriced at over £100 for two courses for two plus an indifferent bottle of Italian plonk. A 12.5% service charge was added but we didn’t have the heart to ask for it to be removed because of the treatment we had seen the staff receiving. However, we go to restaurants for the food and we had no complaints about that so four stars. But we won’t be back.
The rudest, obnoxious reception from the the owner/manager. The place appeared virtually empty but this rude man said no reservation waved us away. No asking if we would like to have a drink wait for a table to open or even if we would like to make a future reservation. With such an obnoxious attitude this business deserves to fail. Would have given zero stars but this app requires at least one. All other Italian restauranteurs would be ashamed of this level of inhospitality.
