Feedback gevenWe stayed in one of the huts next to the hotel last week and came here for dinner twice and breakfast as well. We had such a wonderful time here each time, it's no wonder we kept coming back! The service was so lovely, every member of staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. There is a separate menu in the bar to the restaurant so if you're able to I would recommend coming back to try both. We had some delicious food including Quail, Cullen Skink, risotto but the star of the show was the Bobotie on the bar menu. It was truly delicious one of the best meals I've eaten in my life not to be missed! Our breakfast was also lovely and great value for money. The staff and food here are wonderful, I cannot recommend enough!
Go! A wonderful setting, good service and a lovely menu. Scallops to start, “Beef and Reef” with a chocolate fondant to finish! Will be back.
Lovely to see this hotel open again Stopped in for a late lunch , food was fantastic and fresh , venison burger was Very succulent. Staff are very polite and happy. Would definitely recommend and it’s Only a few miles up the road from us !!! Great you will see us a lot more .
Had a nice lunch with friends. Good choice of menu with many items that could be adapted to suit a Gluten free diet. Nice place to eat in beautiful surroundings. Staff we’re very attentive, friendly and helpful. We wish the new owners every success in the future
Apparently the Hotel and restaurant are now under new management and re-opened 5/6/2021, the Hotel is under serious renovation but we understand rooms will be available this week. We visited for lunch today (6/6/2021) and the food was excellent. Service was superb and we could not fault the food and wine in any way. We wish Alan Fry,the new owner, and his staff the best of luck moving forward, but if they keep up this standard, luck won't be needed. Once the hotel and new restaurant is fully opened this venue will be stunning
