What can I say? From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a delightful bubble of warmth, laughter, and comfort. The creaking of the front door and the scent of the open fire created a scene straight out of a movie. But it was all real, a true expression of hospitality. The bedrooms were charming and cozy, the food was delicious and satisfying, and the beer on tap was fresh. Breakfast each morning was just perfect and set us up nicely for a day of fishing. The only downside was that we kept bumping our heads on the beams! I’ll definitely be coming back with my wife next time. Well done, Lucy! You've truly got it right!

I went there for Sunday lunch with friends. The food was good, but we only got two roast potatoes each! The service was a bit inconsistent. I understand it was busy, but still! Overall, I’d rate the service a 3 and the location a 5.

I had an amazing Sunday roast dinner at this restaurant. The portions were huge and everything was delicious. The pub has a charming, quirky atmosphere, with its traditional decor and a lovely little stream nearby. I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 5 as well!

Great food. Lovely service, good location. Breakfast included in cost. Walkability: 2 miles off the Clarenden Way (Salisbury to Winchester) and less than 1 mile to the Test Valley Path. Food drinks: The scrambled eggs with trout was superb. Also had sausages and mash and sticky toffee pudding for dinner. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Friendly staff, great food, great bedrooms! We stayed for one night as a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. The rooms were excellent, with nice touches such as courtesy jelly beans! The staff were friendly and helpful, with excellent quality beer and great food both evening meal and breakfast. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4
