Elie's Koek - Stockholm

I plan to try their fully vegan tasting menu another time. This visit, I chose four warm dishes and one cold dish. The portion sizes were good, and the flavors were amazing. To drink, I enjoyed a non-alcoholic beverage with lime and mint.

This restaurant is definitely deserving of five stars, even though I am unable to give that rating.

Elie's is a cozy, family-run restaurant located in a quieter area of Södermalm, not far from the boat to Hammarby Sjöstad. My colleagues and I were not very hungry, so we decided to share a mixed plate of vegan meze. The selection was diverse and all the dishes tasted great. The portion size was perfect for one person. The atmosphere at Elie's is inviting and homey. While we were there, a birthday party was taking place and the owners even invited us to join in on a toast. I can definitely see myself returning to Elie's to try more of their delicious vegan dishes.

The atmosphere was cozy and it felt like a family-run establishment. During our visit, there was a birthday party taking place and the owners kindly invited us to join in for a toast. I would definitely return to Elie's to try more of their vegan dishes from the menu.

My first visit to Elie was around five years ago. Although I don't have a clear memory of it, I do remember the food standards such as Hummus, Falafel, and the occasional filled bungalow. During my second visit a few months ago, I noticed a significant improvement in their vegan options, both in terms of quality and variety. In addition to offering a vegan dish, they have a try-them-all deal with less than 13 cold and warm meze dishes. Despite not being very hungry, I tried a few starters such as Rakakat Phyllo dough. I also sampled some of the dishes my friends ordered and was very impressed with everything, as were my friends. Although Elies isn't too far from where I live, I wish it were closer to the areas I frequent so I could visit more often. Hopefully, they will soon offer vegan desserts as well.
