It used to be lovely, but when I bit in to the crispy chicken ball, it tasted like it had been fried in old oil, it was absolutely awful. The rice was lovely, the sauce was delicious, but the crispy chicken balls were disgusting, as I said, tasted like they been cooked in old oil. Sorry Lee's, but that oil should be changed every day.
Was not good at all nearly lost a tooth on the chicken wings sweet and sour pork was the worst I’ve ever had waist of money had to spend more eating elsewhere.
Must be the original Chinese take away and chippy Same smiling owner with family helping out. Must say food quality never changes. Mr lee must have seen many moons but he never looks any older
My parents started going here 50 years ago when Peter first opened the place, he’s now retired but I and my family still order from here almost weekly. The beef curry is a main stay for me, The sweet and sour chicken is fantastic too.
This is our favourite chinese takeaway has been for over thirty years. When we have family from abroad for a visit Lees is the number one choice followed by fish chips from next to the Savoy cinema. Peter is no longer in the takeaway as he now lives in a Care Home but the family carries on the tradition his son David his wife are the cooks. Nobody makes beef cashew nuts or mixed meat curry like David. Well done carry on cooking! Best wishes to Peter!
