Starbucks - Stockport

First visit since the Stockport one opened, admittedly free parking tempted me away from Costa just over the road. It was about 4.15 ish, so I called in for a 'simple decaff coffee frappe with whipped cream ' to be greeted by a lovely knowledgeable lad advising that the beans used for frappes aren 't decaff but I could have a shot of decaff espresso or something (I lost track of all the options! Anyway, he did the best he could to fulfil my requirements... to the tune of £5 somet!!! As I walked away in shock at the £5+, I looked for a clean table to sit at... All the tables had empty cups, plates etc on them despite there only being half a dozen other customers. There were more dirty tables than there were customers. I picked a table and moved all the crockery to the table next door and whilst sitting there, I observed how filthy the window sills, tables, chairs and floors were. I did think about asking for a manager but I felt that I should just let 'Karen ' go home. So I drank my £5+ Decaff frappe somet and left... vowing never to return again.

Staff are lovely. Milk is heated to molten lava levels everytime though. Never been to a Starbucks that consistently makes drinks so hot? Only coffee place in the station at 6am so there's always a queue, but would be great if they took a little more care with the drinks.

Michelle and team are absolutely brilliant come on twice a week for my Americano on trip to Sheffield thy are one of the friendliest teams I’ve met in Starbucks. They are so helpful and always a lovely touch that they remember your name and order : . They are really efficient and quick service which is really great for all the commuters and tourists/locals alike. The cafe is clean and a great environment to relax in before your journey. Well done fab Starbucks team a pleasure in the morning commute, cheers!

Great team at a busy train station Starbucks always upbeat and pleasant under what might be quite a presurised environment. plus they always remember my name which is super nice.
