I held my 70th birthday party/disco/buffet here on Feb. 22nd 2020 and have to say we were extremely impressed, not only with the new décor, since we remembered it as The Barnhouse , but also with the entire presentation of venue and efficient staff. The choice of both hot and cold food which we had arranged beforehand was also extremely good and exceeded our expectations. We had some lovely comments from our guests regarding the high standard of food. Well done to you all....it was absolutely brilliant and I had a night to remember always !....I highly recommend you.

Very informal staff very friendly. Steak and homemade chips out if this world do tasty. Will definaty go again.

Only had a drink here but a beautiful place to be in. Haven't checked menu hence 4 star but place really nice to have drinks.

2 hour wait between starter and main course and the clientele in bar used extremely colourful language

We booked a table for 4 on Sunday 13th October at 5pm. First impressions were good the decor and furniture were lovely and the restaurant was decorated throughout in fairy lights. We were told when we sat down that we could not have starters and there was only roast dinners on offer. We could however have dessert. We were asked if we wanted wine and had to ask for the wine list. We also had to ask for clean a clean wine glass as the glass was cloudy.We made our choice and were then told that the only red wine they had was Merlot, apart from my dinner, the beef was tough and I couldn’t eat it, the other three were happy with theirs. Our plates were collected and we waited for our desserts. After about half an hour of nothing happening we approached a member of staff and were told that she was sorry the kitchen was closed and we could not have dessert. We went on the recommendation of a friend who had been a couple of times so perhaps our experience was not common. We won’t be repeating the experience again.
