Midgley's Public House - Stockton

Drinks were late and we're weak and the $130 Tomahawk steak was well overcooked. The rest of the food was adequate at best. No. Manager on duty, Not happy Won't do it again. $345 for 3 people.

Great, we had dinner on the patio for the dueling pianos and had great service. The drinks were a little slow but that was to be expected with all the patrons coming in to get drinks for the show.

First time here, it looked like a place our group would enjoy so we made a reservation. The food was good but it was a true pleasure to have first rate service. From the time we walked in until we left I was impressed by the friendly, professional interactions with the serving staff. It made the entire meal enjoyable. I've gotten so accustomed to understaffed restaurants with overworked and often poorly trained staff that it's noticeable to be a customer in a place where service shines. Crack shrimp was the winner on the menu but everyone was happy with the food they ordered.

The roasted chicken was so dry it was hard to eat. The espresso martini was more espresso than martini. Had it been perfectly balanced I would have had another, or 3. Everything else was fine. Our server Shannon was really nice and attentive.
