The fact that the security on the door (Pink Security) did NOTHING when a well known generous successful individual got hit on the side right outside the entrance when he did absolutely nothing and they did nothing but PROVOKE it proves what a horrible place it is, I saw it all and it was disgusting. This place needs to be shut down. You deserve all the bad things you get in life. Disgusting.
As a previous reviewer said, this is a gay club for fans of gay people, not gay people. The lady on the door was lovely. The bartenders were fairly good but the music was awful and the DJs were both messy drag queens with attitude problems. I requested a song upstairs and the ‘queen’ said I should try downstairs where they’ll play cheesy music (the next song she played was YMCA... . I went downstairs and that ‘queen’, having been tipped off by the upstairs queen told me to f off as I approached the booth. The whole place is dirty and full of hen parties and old dried-up queens. Have a look at their awful website and take note of the fact that they don’t even bother to respond to reviews and you’ll get a feel for how much effort the owners put into this place. If you’re under 50 or have self-respect, avoid this place.
The door man was rude to me and my friends. He wouldn’t let us into the club because he saw me put a full bottle of desperado into the bin. I was stone cold sober, the bottle went straight into the bin from the taxi and he saw that. Where else did he expect me to put it???? I had no idea that having a bottle in the street for just 5 seconds whilst I disposed of it would be such a big deal. Even after informing him that we definitely wouldn’t have done it if we were aware and it won’t happen again if he could just let us off with a warning, because we clearly meant no ill intentions, however he still acted like we were rancid troublemakers and was very obviously looking for an argument on the dead Sunday. He let ONE of my friends in but left me and my other friend outside, telling us to “jog on”. My friend and I are just 18 and we were again, stone cold sober, just spent £20 getting here in a taxi, wanting to come to pink for our first time, yet this man was being completely unreasonable and made our first time unpleasant. Once he left we were able to talk to TWO other members of staff which were both really nice and polite people to talk to and they said that they knew where we were coming from and have no issue with either of us coming in because they knew we were completely harmless just by looking at us. Then our other friend showed up and he was also denied access because he was wearing a stone island shirt. A shirt...really? I just think it’s rediculous and my night was ruined just because this one man seemed to think far too highly of himself and thinks he’s better than everyone else. I’d be able to understand if he was polite about it and had a friendlier approach like his employees but this man was so blunt and rude from the first word that came out of his mouth. Clearly having a personal issue with us upon first look. But I get it, put a less than average man in a uniform and he thinks he rules the world. Wouldn’t be surprised if he sleeps in it. Who’s gonna tell him he’s just a door man...
I didn't enjoy the place at all. I know when you go to bars and clubs there are always sticky carpets but these were so bad it kept my shoe. I cant comment on staff as we only had 1 drink and my sister in law went to the bar. The speakers sounded awful. They were very crackly. I wont be visiting again.
