Sapphire Fine Dining - Stoke-on-Trent

Had the sapphire special biriyani it was lovely after had the flake icecream. Service great food lovely and hot highly recommend and would definitely go again

We went to the restaurant and the presentation was very good and clean toilets. However the staff were not approachable and seems rude when taking and delivering the order. They were not the best people to ask the question on menu. Food were okay but took a lot of times and they brought the food individually which I was still waiting the food where my friends food was cold and finished his dinner. They asked us to pay at the counter as he told us we are too many to pay individually. This was my first visit and will be last.

Atmosphere was calm and inviting and very clean. Its a shame some staff appeared to be a little bit miserable. We are seasoned curry buffs and felt that the food was rather poor, 2 of the 4 starters were inedible,but were not charged for these after complaining. Main courses were better, however the lamb tikka was a little chewy and too many onions and the chicken Korai ordered also contained too many onions. All in all a disappointing experience. This was all after we had a message and an email to say the table was cancelled, and when we rang them they weren't even sure what date we had booked and they had cancelled the wrong date.

We visited as a family of 5 on New Year’s Eve. We have been several times before and live fairly close. The service is never great, we had to keep asking for drinks and to place an order, as quite often no one comes to your table. Also twice we asked for drinks and nothing came. Fortunately the food is always good which is why we have returned. Unfortunately the service is never great and quite often borders on disinterested. Get the service right and we would give 5/5.
