Toby Carvery Trentham Village

Surprised they let us in we got bared last year . We had a lovely breakfast I had 14 sausages 8eggs 12 bacon a pun of mushrooms 2 scoops of beans 1 scoop of tomatoes, 6 hash browns 10 toast 6 cups of coffee. Karl had the same apart from coffee he had tea .

Booked a table for 5 for a birthday celebration. Team member lead us to a “ annexe “ at the rear of the main building, I think it used to be an old entrance. Anyway it was freeeezzzing ! 4 degrees outside and the same inside! The paper was peeling off the walls and it was damp and full of condensation. The radiator was not on or cold. Anyways we all sat with our coats on. The service was poor, the waitress forgot about us on a number of occasions, out of sight, out of mind! The plates were cold the food was tepid and very bland. Will give it a miss for a while and go back to school dinners!

We run a local charity and wanted to take our volunteers out for a Christmas meal to thank them for all their hardwork and efforts throughout the year. We decided to book the Carvery and right from the initial phonecalls they couldn't be more accomodating for us even though there were 30 in our party. When we arrived we were met and seated by our server Laura who was not only kind and friendly, she was also able to help us with any issues we had. We had a fantastic meal, in a brilliant setting and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you Laura for helping us all, and you are a credit to the the Trentham Village. Had a fantastic carvery meal at at Trentham Toby. Meat was perfect delicous potatoes and vegetables. Drinks perfect order from bar or waitress service. What more could you want. Best food in Trentham

A group of 6 of us went to the restaurant to try their Festive menu, with a table booked for 7pm on a Thursday. Unfortunately, our experience from beginning to end was quite disappointing due to a lack of organization from the staff. We were told that a waitress would take our drinks order once we were seated, but no one came. We had to flag down a passing waitress after a 20 minute wait. It took a long time for us to order our starters, and some items on the festive menu were not available that night. When we finally got to the carvery (well over 75 minutes after our scheduled booking time), there was no Turkey or Gammon left, which was disappointing for a Christmas menu. Additionally, the desserts were served with cold custard. The young waitress who served our table tried her best, but she seemed overwhelmed and on the verge of tears at times. Overall, it was a forgettable experience and our rare night out was ruined by poor service and ineffective management. We are concerned for anyone planning to pay for a Christmas day meal at this restaurant. We are being generous to give a poor review, but we felt sorry for the young waitress who served us.
