In the curtain, a lunch tempted to €25.00. I decided to visit the Deux Ponts at noon after my excursion. That made me a good choice, as it turned out later. Coming from Aachen Brand, you drive towards Stolberg, in Stolberg at the Mercedes Representation, via the intersection approx. 1 Km, then between the Prym and Dalli works, at the traffic light LINKS and at the next traffic light towards Oberstolberg, old town RECHTS after approx. 100 M RECHTS in the parking lot. The “Deux Ponts” (two bridges) is located in a blue stone building typical of the area, a former copper farm. You enter the restaurant over the courtyard, which is used in good weather as a terrace, with tasteful decoration and furnishing. The clear furnishings in brown tones impresses with their harmony. The with glittering dishes, brown runners and fabric napkins, and flower ornaments, covered natural wood tables with comfortable seating, the beautiful sprout windows and the discreet music bear witness to the good taste of the operator. The service courtesy and unattended I was greeted by the service employee, who was dressed with brown outfit and white apron, by the way. Since I was the first guest at that time, a table was made to choose from. The service employee cared for me lovingly and was able to explain to me the offer of the house. When applying, you could explain the composition of the gears. She contributed a not inconsiderable part to my well-being. The map A balanced menu, and a beverage card convinced and made creative. From real Viennese schnitzel (from the calf), vegetarian, to the 3 or 4 courses menu and to the lunch lunch that had tempted me already promised good when reading. I chose the midday lunch of winter pickled salmon, with salad at herbal dressing Hirschgulasch with red cabbage and napkin dumplings Cafe GourmandZu 25,00 € A mineral water at 2.00 € As a wine to the main food, on recommendation of the service worker, 1 glass of red wine at 3.50€ The mineral water was served with two types of bread (roggenbaguette with walnuts, wheat baguette) and slightly salted butter. The breads were so excellent that I guessed I made the kitchen myself. A greeting from the kitchen consisting of a sprinkle of ham, its fine spice and the deliciously spiced broschetta slices served, also convinced. I was looking forward to what would come. It followed the appetizer of winter pickled salmon, with salad on herbal dressing. Beautifully arranged the winter salad surrounded by 4 roasted salmon, whose sight was of high quality, on a fine herbal dressing. The coolness of the salmon beetle, which gives the salmon toasting an excellent tenderness, were already a palate in combination with the finest herbs, vegetable dressing, the freshness and quality of the salad. It followed (after appropriate time) the main court. Deer goulash with red cabbage On a large plate, the Hirschgulasch was arranged nicely, with the smells of the finest. First forks convinced me of the fine kitchen of this house. The Hirschgulasch was in larger pieces, in delicate pink, and with its sauce prepared from wild fond was already a pleasure. The cube of finest self-made red cabbage using finely sprinkled apple and apple wort, as well as the cuts of finely sprinkled napkin noodles slightly fried in the pan, with butter, gave a harmonious coexistence without putting the very well-made fine wild taste of the deer goulash in the shade. The red wine recommended to me to this court also helped me to be very satisfied. The dessert put the crown on the lunch. Cafe Gourmand (In France, a Cafe Gourmand is a dessert consisting of coffee with loud different small desserts such as a ball of ice, cream broil, fruit salad)I could choose between normal coffee and espresso. The coffee was also served with homemade cookies. The dessert consisted of a bowl of wonderfully oranged, caramelized, airy crème brûlée, two beautiful cuts of delicate ice cream of tonka beans with pear, which broke on the tongue, and a piece of airy cake with apple pieces. Price Performance With only 25,00 € for lunch incl. Beverages €30.50, based on the creativity of the kitchen, the high quality of processed foods and the pleasant ambience of the house, with a rich GUT. And curious and thankful for the excellent food, I asked to visit the kitchen and to express my praise to the chef personally. This wish was followed without delay. I entered a flashy kitchen and found a young friendly chef who presented himself with “Christoph De Brabander” and accepted my praise joyfully. I learned that the restaurant has only existed since September 2014, and he was able to learn and expand his craft in leading houses, even in 1 star factories. The entire restaurant, including the toilet areas I visited, is extremely well maintained.
