El Torero Mexican - Stone Mountain

Food was tasty. My friends was better than mine. They got my order wrong, but that's just a mistake. But then they didn't change it on the check either. A wants off issue. But I can't give you five stars if you jacked up my order right?

The food is always excellent , I always try to make it at least once a week since my daughter told me about them. After I finish working for the evening I have my daughter to call my order in advance. I have never been so humiliated . After dining in when I went to pay for my order. I literally watch the young male employee take my 100.00 bill put it under a stack of money and give me change for a 50.00 . My purpose was to change the 100 to give a generous tip as I always do. Because the service is so good and waitress looks like my granddaughter. It was a very uncomfortable situation. I ask to speak to the older gentleman it was getting heated he returned the 100.00 and I appreciate how he handled the situation. It was not a mistake by no means what a sad way to lose a customer.

The staff was rude and not attentive at all and we weren't there during a busy time. I was nervous about the food when they gave us a book size menu because most places with such a huge menu lack in quality of food. Should've gone with my gut the beef nachos and beef taco had absolutely no flavor the pork tamales were disgusting and the only thing halfway edible that our table ordered was the queso and chicken flauta.They have ceiling tiles that will kill anyone's appetite and soap dispensers in the bathroom were completely disgusting. The one star is generous they deserve zero.

The best food no matter what location. If you want some of the best flautas ever get some here. The beam dip and queso is the best starter.

I decided to give El Torero another try because I truly enjoy Mexican food, and I was in the Stone Mountain area. Unfortunately, it was another disappointing experience. "Appalled" doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. My food was completely tasteless, my order was wrong, and I was overcharged. The salsa was the only item that was somewhat decent, but still not impressive. The chips were disappointing, the rice was bland, and the beans were simply terrible. I ordered a vegetable burrito without cheese, which was also messed up the first time I visited. So why was I charged for a meat burrito?! I ended up having to throw the meal away. If you have a discerning palate, you will likely be disappointed if you visit El Torero. I even tried adding salt, but it didn't help. The only positive aspect was that my order came out quickly.
