Chicken N Pickle- San Antonio

Went to Holiday Hideaway this year and I was a bit disappointed. We were sat in the section by the bar. Over there you don’t get the same feel as being in the room. It’s decorated for Christmas, but you don’t get that same ambiance of a ski lodge as you do in the room. Those seats should not be part of the experience because it is a lesser experience for the same price. Gone is the open queso and meatball snack bar from last year, now you get a meat and cheese plate and French onion dip, which were both good, but only one serving of each for four people. We ended up buying additional appetizers to supplement. Ski shots were also disappointing, gone are the cool little ski boot shot glasses you get to keep, now they are regular shot glasses. Just compared the size of the ski boot shot glass from last year and the new one holds half as much but is the same price. All in all, I had fun, but in the back of my mind I knew I was paying more for a lesser experience than I had at last year’s Holiday Hideaway popup bar. If you hadn’t been before, you won’t know what you are missing out on, if you did go last year, you might be disappointed.

I found the environment quite great. Cannot really say about the price because my husband was invited for their post-doctorate party. They had special provisions. The space was really huge. Nice decorations inside. Indoor and outdoor But I find the food nice and hospitality good. Would recommend the place.Kid-friendliness: Yes.

I love this place for a nice family day. Not only is the service great but also they offer a lot of options with games and activities you can do while you’re there. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is the best truly. Do recommend!

MILITARY DISCOUNT AWESOME atemosphere. The courts are plentiful, indoor and outdoor. The best court is the Texas court which is over to the side away from everyone. Plenty of tables to have a large family group watch while you play.The New 21 and over Holiday Hideaway rooftop Christmas themed area is awesome! I felt like I was trasported to a cozy mountain top ski resort. Definitely coming back with the adults for that.

Great FAMILY sports bar feel but with tons of cool places to eat, sir, drink. Pickle ball courts all over, of course, hence the name.Didn't have chicken but the burgers and beer selection were EXCELLENT and perfect service. Whoever is running this one--GREAT JOB!
