Typical breakfast menu and light lunch menu ( sandwiches and salads) but apparently the menu is soon to be expanded. Great parking and the service was VERY good. If you are in Stoney Creek (east Hamilton) and need breakfast, be sure to give it a try. Currently open 7 am to 1 pm.
Been to Fruitland Breakfast 3 or 4 times and each time the food and service are consistently good and quick.I like the hungry man breakfast or the waffles with some strawberry sauce (mmmazing). My kiddo is a pancake-o-holic with or without chocolate chips, depending on her mood. The good.-You get a lot of food for your money and can take it home if you can't finish it all-Atmosphere, clean and quaint-Plenty of parking-Quick and consistent service-A variety of items on the menu-Friendly, helpful staff who take pride in their workThe bad.-Small washrooms
We gave this local place a third shot and they struck out. The breakfast was below average. The pancakes had a odd taste as did the bacon. Metallic with funny marks and a cardboard texture. The guest sitting two tables away had a hair in there oatmeal. All the food was overloaded with fat and very greasy. Two of the three of my eggs , over easy were broken. The toast was cold and over buttered. The sausage was over cooked as well. The server was rude to the kitchen staff and didn't make any attempt to keep the conversation on a low key. My wife felt bad for them as the server just went off. There truly was nothing desirable about this overrated truck stop.
Friendly and fast service but the food was not good. I saw a lot of plates of homefries going back. They tasted like they were warmed up from yesterday's. We both had bacon and egg sandwiches. Small and bland. $25.00 for 2 sandwiches and coffee. Not worth it at all.
A group of us recently visited this fairly new breakfast place last Sunday. The hours everyday are 7:00am-2:30. Through the week they have a breakfast special for $3.95 and they have only been open one year. It is a small, intimate breakfast place that is very clean and well set up. The staff are accommodating and will move tables around if you are a larger group. The owner Steve is very nice and called me back after leaving him a message, even came out after our meal to thank us for visiting; we had a group of 9 people. Since the restaurant is fairly small they can't take reservations on weekends however they do their best to accommodate you.For a fairly new place they did well handling our group and another fair size group plus the other tables. Our food was brought out so that all of us were able to eat at the same time and all of the food was good. The omelette's are excellent, with fresh ingredients, big chunks of vegetables etc. Everyone else had good meals as well.I would recommend this place for couple, small groups and small families with kids. They did have a little problem clearing plates off the tables etc but overall I would definitely return. The cheapest meal was $6.99 to $13.99
