Fisherman's Friend - Stonington

The seafood here is incredibly fresh, and they offer Maine beers on tap. The fish is cooked to perfection, whether it's fried, broiled, or baked. The baked haddock with crabmeat stuffing is truly outstanding. Plus, the views of the bustling waterfront are a fantastic bonus.

The location is fantastic, but unfortunately, it seems to be the only reason this restaurant is still in business. The food is quite average; the chowder was particularly disappointing, and the service was just okay. I love Stonington and Maine, but this was not a good representation of local cuisine. The fish was flavorless, and the chowder tasted like a poorly made mixture of water and butter. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
