Zack's Grille - Stonington

Upon entering, we found ourselves in a bar area where a football match and golf tournament were being shown, along with a small but comfortable dining space. We arrived during an unusual hour (around 4:00 PM), so the restaurant wasn't busy. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. Since we arrived right before happy hour, we were able to order some appetizers and soups. We shared a delicious roasted calamari appetizer, and two of us ordered the clam chowder, which was quite good. The calamari was fresh, well-seasoned, and enjoyable—I would definitely order it again. My son and husband opted for both the child and adult sizes of fish and chips, which were generous portions and thoroughly enjoyed. I had the French dip with potato salad, while my daughter chose a kids' pasta that she liked, and my other son ordered a burger. Our server was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, the staff was excellent and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. We will definitely be returning! Thank you!

Zack's is a hidden gem in Stonington. The food is excellent, the service is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. The dark wood decor creates an ambiance reminiscent of an old secret hideaway. The locals are familiar with Zack's, and boaters often take the scenic route on foot to bypass the two-hour wait at Dog Watch. It's my favorite spot for dinner!

I stopped by after a day of kayaking at Barn Island, and I had the ****. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding—very attentive. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
