Got chicken goujons they came out pink Was told that they where cooked and it was just a vein would not recommend Floyd's. Waitress was nice enough
Service was great, the 2 waitresses was lovely and welcoming, the food on the other hand wasn’t restaurant quality, it was pretty bland to be honest, u go out to eat for something different than u would cook at home as a treat, but it was all mediocre. Also 2 different menus which was confusing for the staff one menu had deals the other didn’t so same table, but different orders for different customers on that table when it came to paying the bill. I personally think it was overpriced for the food that was served.
Awful evening dinner here. Countless errors and they weren’t even busy. Little vegetarian options so some guests had to order across 2 different menus which meant they couldn’t avail of the same offer. Several dishes served late and when they were served it was the wrong thing leading to further delays. Some people had finished before my partner had been served. Table was dirty and cutlery dulled. No measure in place for pandemic. Staff not wearing masks or visors and no sanitisation insight or even on our table. When another customer entered and mentioned they’d forgot their mask the staff joked and “sure I’m not even wearing one.” Overpriced, underwhelming, don’t waste your money.
We were seated at a dirty table about half a meter beside the till, the table was then cleaned after we were seated. All evening there was a constant flow of staff submitting orders to the till, standing right at my back and people coming up to pay for their order brushing past my back. It was very busy, with no privacy and a constant staff presence beside us. Three of us ordered off the set menu 3 course menu, and my daughter ordered the vegetarian stir fry, no starter, no dessert, off the Al La Carte menu. There are no Vegetarian options on the new set menu. Our mains were just ok, however, my apple crumble was actually made with tinned pears, not apples, and was pretty disgusting When it came to paying, the man at the till, (who had been stood right beside us all night gave me the total cost, which I queried as it seemed to expensive for what we ordered. He was pretty rude, and told me the 50% Off did not apply to the A la Carte menu for the Vegetarian dish and instead I would be charged for the 3 course menu . He made a bit of a scene, in front of other guests, I felt pretty embarrassed and so payed the extra money and left. Disappointed Floyd's are not abiding by the rules of the scheme that was created to help them as a business. They don't give 50% Off all food, only a very small selection, and force people to pay extra for items they have not ordered. So basically they will be claiming £20 for a Vegetarian stir fry from the government tax payer... Not a nice experience at all I wish we had stayed at home. Just to note though there were a number of young staff students working here who were ran off their feet, yet still managed to remain friendly and helpful. Also re COVID No precautions taken here at all to protect Staff or Customers! No hand sanitiser to be seen anywhere No masks visors worn by staff Tables were not cleaned before we were sat down. Paper menus, that can't be cleaned. You have to go to the till to pay, rather than paying at your seat Zero social distancing in place.
