Feedback gevenI am a frequent Strasbourg traveller and I make it a point on my agenda to pass by this place every time. It's a family business, so it feels rather homey but the food is definitely 5 stars! Every meal is a unique combination of French cuisine (French chef) with a small Chinese detail touch (wife is Chinese). I tried a bit of everything from filet mignon to magret canard. never disappointed. The tarte tatin is a must!
This restaurant is on Rue L'ecure a hidden side street near Place Guttenberg, not far from the Cathedral. Family run by a quality French Chef and wife. They understand English humour and will advise on the best seasonal dishes and cook to your requirements. This is excellent French Cuisine with Alsatian style where necessary. The scallops, venison, duck and moule are excellent. For dessert the tart tatin and chocolate mousse are also excellent.
Looking out for a very special place in an overcrowded beautiful citycentre we found this inviting restaurant full of atmoshere and touche. We ordered fish and salate with an ecellent glass of white , had delicious baguette with oliveoil and salt : pure and exactly our taste! It was such a pleasure to find this 'place of gold'! I wish many other tourists and individuals to find their way into the lecuire!
