Biagio's Osteria - Stratford

Lunch al fresco on a sunny day with a superb meal was almost like actually being in Italy. The menu choices are very original covering the whole spectrum of meats, seafood, pasta, seafood. The chef seems to have a special affinity for flaky pastry items including in hors d 'oeuvres, main courses, and desserts. Bravo!

We were pleased to meet up with restaurant staff we remember from our past visits. The menu is well prepared with plenty of variety for diners to make selections. The towers insalata were not as we remember from past visits flavorful but not the dynamic appearance that previously had provided a wow moment. The rib chop was very good fully flavorful and lovely plating. Biagio picatta, pasta dinner, and shrimp dinners were good. It just wasn 't the outstanding evening that we have always had in the past. Somewhat disappointing, but an enjoyable night out for 2 couples.

This is restaurant can be a very romantic or casual environment. The night we were there was to catch up with friends. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. As always, this restaurant never disappoints.

We had reservations and were seated literally in front of a speaker playing the music in the room. It was near impossible to hear the serving staff. It was Mother's Day dinner so they were busy, but still We never received bread for the table, the kids were never offered drink refills, and half of one of our meals never arrived . We had to keep asking staff walking by for items (like forks to eat with) cause our server wasn't around. The food was tasty.... But the cost was far too high for such a level of ambiance and table service.

This place is a hidden gem, we came upon it just before searching for possible Mother's Day options, and I could not have anticipated how absolutely delicious the food was. This food is absolutely spectacular, the pasta was light and delicious, the seafood was amazing, and the atmosphere was delightful. It was as good as what we got in Italy. Absolutely fantastic!
