Oar Oak - Stratford

I just had the classic chicken sandwich and the cornbread. I?m serious when I tell you this is the best chicken sandwich I had in CT. This place is really a hidden gem. I could definitely come again

The menu was appealing although we weren?t able to sit down and eat I wasn?t in the mood to order and bring it home but I definitely will try their food next time

Went there yesterday ordered the Lone star and the Big Vin burger with a fry. The chicken sandwich was good but not worth 13.00 dollars no bigger of a chicken sandwich you get from any fast food joint. The burger on the other hand was so well done that itwas almost inedible with no flavor or seasoning total bill was over $31.00 come on guys we are in stratford not NYC.

I heard Oar Oak had the best chicken sammies around. I?ve been wanting to try them for awhile. I finally did only to be let down. I ordered online, lots of items were listed out of stock. I picked up my order was greeted by 2 people at the counter.Very nice friendly. Got my food home it was meh. The chicken was very good I will give them that. Fries were gross.Cornbread was good, but I wasn?t a fan of the maple bacon jam on top. Too overpowering. I?m glad I checked this place off mybucket list, but won?t be going back.

Our office decided to get takeout for lunch on a random recommendation. I had the classic chicken sandwich. People ordered a few other types of sandwiches on the menu. The classic was amazing. It was a nicely portioned cut of chicken, deliciously seasonedand cooked. Everyone else loved their sandwich. Highly recommended.
