After viewing the photos on Yelp I was really looking forward to trying this place out. Upon arrival I learned that they no longer prepare barbecue, the dining traffic just wasn't enough to sustain it I tried the blueberry chipotle burger, a side of fries and an order of hush puppies. The blueberry part was simply a flavored balsamic that the burger was fried in. There wasn't any chipotle to be had on the burger unless you tried one of the sauces available in the dining room. The finished product did not look anywhere near the burger in the photos above. Good idea, just lacking substance. The fries are nothing to write home about. The kind that are fried in oil utilized for other items. Two dollars get you five or six hush puppies that are prepared with caramelized bits of onion. The overall dough flavor is bland. Slivers of jalapeño and sweet corn would've been a great accent. It's a better burger than the truckstop but at eight dollars?

Excellent food! My husband I shared a combo basket (brisket sausage) with two sides, so we both ate all we could handle for under 15$. Though I didn’t personally try it, I hear the catfish special is good. I know it might be out of the way for some, but why not make a day trip enjoy the drive?
