Original Joe's Strathmore

Excellent, fast service and food quality is always consistent and great.

Vegetarian Choices are Awesome!. Being a vegetarian it is hard sometimes to choose a restaurant. Most places have something, but not all. Original Joe's caters to the vegetarian as well as having all the regular meat options for non-veggie friends and family. There are dishes that are vegetarian and meat costs extra, there is a veggie burger- which is delicious, and any chicken in dishes can be changed for soy chicken, for a little extra money (same as the extra paid for the chicken in them, if I recall correctly). It's a bar atmosphere (medium volume music, no minors, darkly lit with candles on the table/bar, higher tables, ext) with food you would expect in a higher class restaurant (not talking $100-dollars-a-plate-type restaurant, but your average date-night/ special occasion place). I would choose Original Joe's over the Strathmore Station, or any other restaurant in Strathmore and over quite a few restaurant's in Calgary too! You will not regret your visit here. You will be stuffed full with fairly healthy food, if you choose it, or with your choice of the more rich and unhealthy variety. SO GOOD!

The original joes does not honor reservations on opentable, so we had luck getting a table, but otherwise was a pretty good meal and experience.
