Feedback gevenAs states and cities ease their restrictions on masks and social distancing, Bar Louie is taking a different approach by not only requiring masks but also insisting on proof of vaccination for indoor dining. This policy is likely to alienate a significant portion of the American population, as evidenced by the fact that there were only four patrons in the entire establishment. Meanwhile, some employees were wearing their masks below their chins. I considered giving a 1-star rating, but the staff was friendly and not at fault. After a long 12-hour drive, we had no choice but to eat there.
The salad was extremely disappointing. I found only seven small strips of chicken, and it was so dry that I couldn't even cut it. The cup of Caesar dressing was half empty, and all of this cost me $20.
The only thing this restaurant consistently offers is poor service. I decided to give it another chance since it was conveniently located near my workplace. When I visited for lunch, there were maybe eight other customers there. I waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence. After another 15 to 20 minutes, I was finally asked for my order for drinks and food. I had pushed the menu away, letting them know I wasn’t looking at it anymore. Unfortunately, the bartender forgot my drink, making me wait an additional 15 minutes. I understand mistakes happen, but this was just unacceptable. I ordered the lunch special and chose soup instead of fries, but, of course, I ended up getting fries. They seemed to mess up everything.
I don’t usually do reviews unless I absolutely feel change or something should be addressed. My husband and I came In Saturday late afternoon for a drink at the bar. As we sat there a male worker with glasses changed into his work shoes that he pulled out from the cabinet under the center POS system. He put his blue collard work shirt on after and NOT once did he wash his hands as he proceeded to make a drink. I get bartenders get busy where they grab a lemon wedge or straw with bare hands after they touch a ton of other little things. It’s gross but I get it. The food was good (wings). Even the young men delivering the food actually had gloves on so I appreciated that. Drinks we good. Pricey but comes with location. Service was decent. Our bartender was great (Paulina I think her name was).
The service was excellent and the food was even better. Tuesday is half off on burgers and they were so awesome. Wings were so good I took some to go. The drinks were outstanding. Try the Diva if you like martinis. Brittany our server was very attentive and constantly checked on us. Tika the manager was very friendly and ensured we had great service. Would definitely return again and again.
