J J's Family Catering - Strip District

I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. The breakfast here is so good! I ordered a meat lover omelette and a coffee both were fantastic. And the service here is also top tier. I will definitely be back when I’m near Mount Washington again. Only downside is that they do not offer military discount.!

We ate at J J's Family Restaurant at the top of Mt. Washington after riding the Incline to the top. It was about 2 or 3 blocks off of Grandview Ave. at the top. This was a small diner with good food at a reasonable price.

Ordered the pittsburgher and banana shake. The shake was amazing.

Kinda surprise that this type of diner disappoint me, usually provide solid quality with reasonable price. Love the atmosphere of older decor and the size of the menu. Beside pancake, everything is bland. Never had omelet and home fries taste like this before. Just a disappointment. I don't know how to describe it, basically I can't taste anything from home fries beside the burnt oil. Can't taste any cheese in my omelet.Love their pancake tho, it is fluffy and soft.

Foods good. Waitress not that great. Had to get another waitress to get our coffee for us. Our waitress didn't see to hustle like the others. Food is good though. Took a while to get our food. No biggie it was busy. Fun little place
