Uncle Sam's Submarines - Strip District

The food is overall good, the fries are only good right out of the fryer but they 're fantastic when they are. The atmosphere, it 's a sub shop. It 's fine. Service is terrible. Took almost 50 minutes for a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. I get it, it 's lunch, it 's busy, but I watched people coming in after me, ordering other similar stuff, and eating it half of it before I was even called up. Got a half shrug and a sorry. At most other places that would be a food comp. If the service was quick and chill like a hero shop should be this place would be a gem. As it sits, it 's meh.

A Pittsburgh, staple have been going here since highschool. Love the bread and hot(temperature) Italian sub. Good spot to stop at after a couple drinks at the squirrel hill cafe.

Change out your GLOVES if you are going to touch every surface then go back to making my food.

I haven’t been to Uncle Sam’s on Forbes in 8 years. Just went in today to pick up food for friends I don’t eat there… food is disgusting).Still rude management and unreliable food. The fries situation continues with having to pay for fries for take out. And they fill the bag halfway for $3.37. Complete rip off. Go to McDonalds for better fries!Much better places to go to in Pittsburgh. Too bad the reviews keep getting worse.

I got the portobello sandwich the other day and got a total of 6 slices of mushrooms on my sandwich. How is there going to be almost no mushrooms on a mushroom sandwich? Up until the other day, i havent been here for a while but these sandwiches used to be STUFFED with mushrooms, and ooey gooey delicious cheese. I used to be full after eating half, and it used to fall out of the sides, it was so full. It was a genuine huge disappointment to come back to. I fully understand everywhere is raising prices and making smaller portions. Ive worked in and ran kitchens so i fully understand food costs and that eveything is more expensive now. I judt expected a reasonable amount of mushrooms in a mushroom sandwich. Not saying it needed to be over flowing like it used to be.... but damn man, at least give me more than literal 6 slices in the whole sandwich.Vegetarian options: A few different veggie based sandwiches and fries.
