I had a delightful experience with the service at this restaurant. I enjoyed a light lunch consisting of a brat and cranberry panini, which was served hot, along with a side salad and a cold drink. We chose to sit outside in the back, away from the road, which made for a pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent establishment. Friendly welcome, great decor, great location, great food and drink and great prices.
Lovely cafe in a beautiful part of the world, staff friendly and efficient. It's all good value for money but the cake portions in particular are very generous, just what you need after a walk on the common or climb up the hill on the bike. Cappuccino could have done with another shot or two of coffee, so will ask for that next time, and hence the 5th star stays in the bag for now.
This charming café, located just steps from Minchinhampton Common and Rodborough, is incredibly dog-friendly and perfect for lovely walks. The café is housed in a beautifully renovated old pub in the Cotswolds, where we stopped to enjoy a deliciously thick sandwich, generously packed with high-quality ingredients. I had a speck, brie, and cranberry sandwich that was easily shareable, paired with a fresh side salad, all for just £4.50. The highlight of our visit was the pie, which truly stole the show. They offer an impressive selection of 11 different homemade cakes, ranging from traditional offerings to delightful indulgences. There are also four types of cheesecake available, including options that are dairy-free and gluten-free, all of which looked tempting, but after my sandwich, I found it hard to indulge further. The café has been beautifully restored from an old pub and retains a lot of traditional Cotswold charm, while also incorporating modern touches that make it comfortable and welcoming for families, including those with children or accessibility needs. It was lovely to watch the sheep grazing outside through the windows. If you're passing through the Cotswolds, be sure to add this café's postcode to your GPS; it will lead you to excellent parking at one of the best cafés in Minchinhampton. Plus, it's heartwarming to know that all proceeds go to charity, which makes enjoying your visit even more rewarding! Enjoy!
