Cafe Kunstlerbund - Stuttgart

We came on a sunny day, the place was crowded. we found a table, and that was the longest time I expected to live in all my life as hospitable. Finally came the waiter, my wife ordered a drink and a bottle of water. we have forgotten the water, but not the drink and the waiter accused my wife that she did not order a drink. I said she told him twice. the waiter came back with two drinks, not just one. He told us we had ordered two, not just one. the waiter left the drink on the table and said to us that we can both drink. of course we had to pay both. do not expect to get a glass when they order a bottle drink, they get only a straw.

We had a piece of time before our train to berlin and discovered this area near the main railway station. an outdoor ball with a large park, tons of people strolling it was lunch and around the corner was this good size outdoor café....I ordered the rigatoni and my partner the spaghetti. Both were wonderful. you have to ask for brot. the service was a little slow that they need to add more help to lunchtime. a varied clientele: hard core bikers in bright colored dresses, a woman and her dog enjoy coffee in the sun, couples eat and relax. no one presses them on except our train ticket. a huge grass area with statues and a fountain make their time slow. oh, above are small enough bathroom and art work!

A few days ago with a small group, enjoyed the fast beer and the view over the castle with its beautiful buildings.

Great location with view of the large square, very tasty pasta and salat, choice of beer and wine. good caffe to sit outside. faster service.

A very nice place in the very center of Stuttgart, close to gardens and parks. You have a vast choice of food and drinks, a fast and kind service and, surprise, very good prices in comparison with the beautiful and comfortable location. Very recommended.
